Range Balls for Your Brain

Visualization is the act of forming a mental image of something without actually being there. Research shows that the brain has a hard time telling the difference between imagination and reality, especially if the imagination is very vivid. So you can exercise your brain and train it to be able to handle pressure, competition, stress, and any other thing you encounter when you're playing. But you can do this without actually being at the course.

This practice is great for:

  • the time leading up to a big tournament

  • making use of your off days

  • morning or evening routine

  • keeping the mental rust off during the off season

Go through this visualization practice and really focus on what you're hearing. Put headphones on and try to eliminate all distractions. Remember, the more realistic the imagination, the more you train your brain.

You can do this practice daily.

Like what you see (and hear)?
